Three Rivers is excited to announce the new We Care Auto Repair Program made possible by the State of Minnesota and the Department of Employment and Economic Development’s Getting to Work Project. This program provides motor vehicle repairs to assist eligible individuals to obtain or maintain employment and connecting individuals to other essential services.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must:

    • Have household income at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
    • Reside in Goodhue, Olmsted, Rice or Wabasha counties
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Have a valid driver’s license
    • Provide current proof of motor vehicle insurance
    • Provide proof of vehicle registration of the vehicle in need of repair
    • Demonstrate that a motor vehicle is required to obtain or maintain employment
    • Complete an online budgeting course as prescribed by Three Rivers or receive a referral to meet with CareerForce

Call (800) 277-8418 to complete an intake over the phone to address any needs the household may have. This intake will be sent to the appropriate Advocate who will complete a comprehensive assessment either in person or over the phone. The household will be asked to provide verifications as required.  Services available will vary by county and community.
