Hiawathaland Transit is operated by Three Rivers, and is available to everyone for any reason. People of all ages ride our buses to go places like school, work, the grocery store, doctor's office, pharmacy, or library. Our buses can transport anyone anywhere within city limits! There are even a few routes between cities. Contact Hiawathaland Transit for more information about specific services. Click here for a copy of our customer service policy.

In some cities, Hiawathaland Transit has established routes that serve the majority of the city limits. Riders may get on the route(s) at their own discretion; pre-scheduled route deviations are also available. In other communities, A Dial-A-Ride bus is available (please note: in cities where both route and Dial-A-Ride exist, some eligibility restrictions do apply to the Dial-A-Ride service). We operate on a first come, first served basis - please make reservations 24 hours in advance if possible - we can take requests for rides on the bus up to Six Days in advance.
A MINIMUM OF 24 HOUR ADVANCE NOTICE IS ENCOURAGED FOR ANY RIDE REQUIRING USE OF THE LIFT AS SPACE IS LIMITED.
Schedules are subject to change. Traffic and weather conditions may delay buses.
• Each bus is handicap accessible.
• Assistants accompanying a person with disabilities ride FREE.
• Drivers do not assist individuals into homes, apartment buildings, or businesses.
• Tokens or punch passes are encouraged. Drivers DO NOT make change.
• Passengers are required to pay their fare BEFORE their ride and will be charged for any no-call no-shows.
• Buses DO NOT enter trailer/mobile parks, apartment complexes, or other multi-use/multi-family dwellings.
• No food, beverages, or smoking on the bus
Fares range from $1.25 to $1.75. One-way rides between service areas are $3.50. Punch passes and tokens can be purchased at local city halls, as well as other locations - a full list of vendors can be found on this website. Riders must have correct change available when boarding the bus, as drivers cannot make change. Get Passes and Tokens infomation here.
