MNDOT is seeking applicants to develop a structure for Regional Transportation Coordinating Councils
Three Rivers Community Action intends to apply for the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s (MNDOT) Greater Minnesota Regional Transportation Coordinating Councils Phase 1 Organizational Planning Grant.
MNDOT is seeking applicants to develop a structure for Regional Transportation Coordinating Councils (RTCC) to coordinate transportation services between the wide range of organizations engaging with transportation for Minnesota residents. MN DOT explains RTCC at their website here. They state, “Coordination between transportation providers, service agents, and the private sector is a goal to fill transportation gaps, streamline access to transportation and provide individuals more options of where and when to travel.” Coordination efforts will be focused on “transportation disadvantaged” households, including persons with disabilities, persons with low income, older adults, and military veterans.
During the planning phase, Three Rivers Community Action will be contracting with a consultant (to be selected) to engage stakeholders and develop structure for a RTCC serving the eleven counties of Southeast Minnesota: Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Rice, Steele, Wabasha, Winona. Three Rivers seeks your partnership in the planning process and commitment to engage with the work of the RTCC, once established.
