Volunteer Opportunities

HART Drivers Needed

HART (Hiawathaland Auxiliary Regional Transit) Drivers transport residents of Goodhue, Rice & Wabasha counties who are unable to utilize public transportation using their personal vehicle. Individuals may be able to receive rides to and from such destinations as medical appointments, shopping, entertainment, supportive services, friendly visits, volunteer work and more.   As a driver you will be reimbursed for mileage at the current IRS rate; you can set your own schedule, drive as little or as much as wanted, and select preferred areas of travel – you can even bring a friend or family member along!

Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age, have a current and valid driver’s license and proper vehicle insurance. They must also pass criminal background, driving record and local reference checks. Interested parties can download an application below, or call 866-623-7505 to request that an application be sent to them.
