As a non-profit housing developer, Three Rivers is committed to increasing and preserving the supply of safe, decent housing that is permanently affordable to low- and moderate-income families, including townhomes, apartments, and single-family homes. Three Rivers has significant experience in a wide variety of affordable housing programs, both rental and homeownership, serving communities throughout southern Minnesota.
Current Programs and Initiatives
- Rental Housing- Over 300 units available in 10 communities.
- Homes for Sale- New construction homes with attractive financing available.
- Homebuyer Assistance- Downpayment and closing cost assistance to qualified buyers.
- Community Stabilization- Acquisition of foreclosed and blighted properties that are rehabilitated and re-sold to qualified buyers. Downpayment assistance available to buyers purchasing previously foreclosed properties.
- Emerging Markets Homeownership Initiative- Classes, individual counseling, and buyer financing programs to assist diverse households entering homeownership.
