There are Homeless Response Teams in each of our three counties, which
consist of service providers who provide services to homeless and/or
at-risk for homeless populations, including but not limited to
Three Rivers Community Action, the county social services, the
Housing and Re-Development Authority, mental health service providers,
the Salvation Army, church representatives, shelter representatives,
transitional and permanent supportive housing representatives,
advocates for victims of domestic violence, Public Health, etc.
The purpose of the Homeless Response Team is to provide an
efficient and complete network of services to participants
in need. Additionally, it serves as a resource for the educating
the community at large about housing and homeless issues,
providing advocacy in seeking additional funding resources
and services for this population, and participating in data
collection and needs assessments for not only specific grant
opportunities, but also the Wilder Survey and HUD's
Point-in-Time Count.
